Connections to Monksfields

Linkages
The next phase of building to the east - to be known as 'Monksfields' will be connected to Love's Farm at Clark Drive and Whiston Way. The developers are keen to hear feedback on the plans for these connections.

We know the 'wiggly path' is one of the most treasured assets of Love's Farm and there has rightly been a lot of concern that the linkages to the east will disrupt this, and we have made this point strongly with the developers. The plans - which you can see in the document linked below -  are intended to take these concerns into account

Clark Drive
The access from Clark Drive will provide pedestrian, bicycle and emergency access. Since emergency access is expected to be only rarely required, this should still appear as a pedestrian friendly environment. There will be a drop-down bollard to prevent unauthorised vehicles from using the access.

Whiston Way
The connection to Whiston Way will give access only to pedestrians and bicycles and have a fixed bollard.

You can see the full plans in this document >>.

At this stage, these are draft plans, and this is an informal opportunity for us to make our views heard before a formal planning application is submitted. Once the plans enter the formal planning process there will be a further opportunity to comment to the planning authority - Huntingdonshire District Council

Please let us have your views; we will collate these and pass to the developers ahead of their formal planning application.
