Why the long grass?
Huntingdonshire District Council, who look after our open spaces, are trialling a new approach to grass cutting across the District and this includes some areas of Love's Farm.
The scheme, known as "Active Land Management", involves cutting some areas of grass only once a year, in order to encourage biodiversity. You can find out more about the scheme at
huntsdc.gov.uk/alm, or use the QR code in the image below.
At the bottom of the page you will find maps showing the areas that will be trialled at Love's Farm, marked with red cross hatching.
Please note - on their most recent visit to Love's Farm, the team couldn't cut some areas due to wet weather and flooding. These will be rectified on the next visit. The maps below show which areas will be left.
