A428 Route Announcement 

Highways England have today announced the preferred route for the A428 upgrade from the Black Cat Roundabout to Caxton Gibbet.

For those of you who remember the consultation exercise a couple of years back, the option chosen is the Orange Route, which mostly follows the alignment of the existing A428, together with Option C for the Black Cat Roundabout, which provides full grade separation for the A428/A421 and the A1.

Under current expected timescales, work could start as early as 2021.
