Fantastical Love’s Farm Community Day
24 hours of creative adventuring on the 30th June and 1st July 2017
This free event is open to everyone and invites you to come and explore your local area in extraordinary and intriguing ways alongside children and artists.
Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI) is a local arts charity working with Round House Primary Academy as part of the Fantastical Cambridgeshire project. Since March 2017 CCI artists Filipa Pereira-Stubbs and Sally Todd and two classes of 7 and 8 year olds at the Roundhouse Primary Academy have been discovering all sorts of extraordinary adventures in and around Love’s Farm. You can find out about their adventures here.
Over a 24 hour period from 3.30pm on the 30 June, the whole community will be invited to share their in the children’s discoveries and to tell us their own special stories about Love’s Farm. During this time there will be 24 hours of looking, noting, drawing, modelling, and recording in different and playful ways the fantastical life of Love’s Farm. And of course plenty of tea, cake and chatting.
Your knowledge and stories about where you live will help us to create a new fantastical map of Love’s Farm. If you have any curious objects or photographs linked to this community please bring them along. Base camp will be at Round House Primary Academy. Please save the date! Full programme to follow - watch this space!
