Round House School Rated Good by Ofsted
The Round House Primary Academy was recently inspected by Ofsted and has been rated Good for overall effectiveness. It was also deemed to be Good in five key areas: leadership and management, behaviour and safety of pupils, quality of teaching, achievement of pupils, early years provision.
The inspectors noted that teachers provide lively and exciting lessons in a wide range of subjects, that pupils achieve well whatever their starting points, they have positive attitudes to learning and they feel safe. The report also states that the quality of teaching, academic progress and behaviour of pupils have all improved considerably in the last year.
LFCA would like to congratulate the head teacher Mrs Bryden, all the staff, governors and children of the Round House school for this well-deserved result. The school has been through some big changes since it first opened its doors in 2008, but in the last two years it has made some big improvements. There's now a sense that this is a school to be proud of.
