Stone Hill Verges
Every year around this time we get asked a lot about the state of the verges on Stone Hill.
The verges haven't been cut yet due to the daffodils which, if cut too soon, will fail to flower next year.
As an adopted road, Stone Hill is the responsibility of Cambridgeshire County Council, but they only have budget for 3 cuts per year; this is a County-wide policy. The first cut should come shortly, once the daffodils have died back.
We are continuing to work with our Councillors and council officers to try to find a way to improve this area within the constraints of budgets etc.
