St Neots Community and Business Awards

EnterThe St Neots Awards campaign steps up a gear from today, with only eight weeks remaining for those in the St Neots community to put forward details of local individuals, groups or businesses that deserve to be recognised.

The 2015 St Neots Community & Business Awards was launched in St Neots at the end of 2014 to recognise the efforts and impact of local individuals, groups and organisations. Twelve key categories seek to reward the successes of individuals and community groups, highlight local sporting excellence and to showcase business excellence within the town. The website www.stneotsawards.co.uk gives a rundown on each category and some tips as to the types of entries the programme is looking to receive, either by nomination or direct application.

Commenting on the St Neots Awards nominations campaign, Town Clerk at St Neots Town Council Ed Reilly said: “We are delighted with the response to these new awards and are inspired by all the positive examples being shared with us so far. Nominations are hugely important so we can recognise and reward the very best examples of excellence in St Neots; we encourage everyone in the town to think about someone they know who deserves to be acknowledged.”

Nominations or applications need to be submitted on the simple A4 entry form either electronically or on paper to St Neots Town Council by 5pm on Friday 20th March 2015. Entries will be reviewed by an independent judging panel, led by St Neots Mayor Andrew Hansard, with a celebratory awards ceremony scheduled for Saturday 25th April 2015.

The awards have been backed by a number of local businesses working in and around St Neots - Adlams Solicitors, Barretts department store, Beacon Wealth Management, Bosch Rexroth, bpha, Giggs and Co, Lilac James, Realfit Conditioning and Education, The Best of St Neots and Vital Sign Designs.

This new civic awards programme, presented by St Neots Town Council, is also supported by a number of key community stakeholders - AboutMyAreaPE19, Eynesbury Village Association, Love’s Farm Community Association, The Eatons Community Association and Think Local Magazine.
