Triffids sighted on Stone Hill
Most of you will have noticed the terrible state of the verges on Stone Hill, where the weeds are waist-height in places.
Since Stone Hill was adopted by Cambridgeshire County Council, it has become subject to their county-wide grass cutting regime, which is to provide cuts 3 times per year during the growing season.
Clearly, this hasn't proved adequate to keep the weeds in check and, having seen photographs, the county council have agreed to look again at Stone Hill. We'll keep you posted with the outcome of this.
Most of the open green spaces on Love's Farm are adopted by Huntingdonshire District Council, who aim to cut them 12 times during the growing season.
