New Trains for St Neots
New state-of-the-art trains are coming to the South East, including the line that serves St Neots. The Siemens Class 700 trains will boost capacity by 15%, according to a
government press release. However, the
BBC reports that we will have to wait until at least 2017 for their arrival on the Kings Cross <> Peterborough line.
Even better news for commuters is that First Capital Connect has pledged to at least double the number of 12-carriage trains from 7am to 10am, reports Edward Curwen at
www.cambridge-news.co.uk. Let's hope that the service for the evening commute is scaled up too so we can all get home again!
