Football Development Centre

In Partnership with Hunts Regional College

St Neots Town FC are excited to announce that for the 2012-2013 season we will be offering, in conjunction with Hunts Regional College, a programme of further education and football development. Combining and utilizing both resources our aim is to offer a comprehensive package that will demonstrate our commitment to developing the student’s potential.

St Neots Town FC Managing Director Lee Kearns explains

“This is the initial step towards a three year plan to fielding a first team that is predominantly home grown players. Hunts Regional College has a fantastic reputation for producing well rounded intelligent talented footballers, a number of whom have already represented our first team. We want to offer a clear and definitive path through to representing St Neots Town FC but what would be really exciting is if we produced a footballer who went onto play at the highest level. Hunts Regional is currently the Men’s British Colleges Sport National Football League Champions and the Men’s British Sports National Knock-out Champions and so for me it’s great that we have been given this opportunity to work together.”

Huntingdonshire Regional College head Coach Gary Brown

“The College has worked hard over the past 4 to 5 years to not only develop its successful football squad, but its academic side of the course. The partnership with St Neots Town FC is a great progression for our students not only for the quality of the of the facilities St Neots have developed, but also the level that the club are presently playing at and also aiming to get too.”

The College and Club would like to announce its first round of trials to be held at the Club on the 4th
April 10am – 2pm. Any players wanting to apply should contact Gary Brown by email on
gary-brown@huntingdon.ac.uk or contact the college on 01480 379100.

Principal Huntingdonshire Regional College Susanne Stent

“This is a great opportunity for both the College and the Club to work together to develop outstanding students and footballers that will offer so much to the local community.”
